1976 Datsun 280Z for sale
The car was purchased by the previous owner within July of 1994. In 1999 a parts car was purchased with a rebuilt engine and transmission – both with approximately 1500 miles on them. From 1999-2003 the car was painted and had the engine and transmission swapped from the parts car (Painted in 5/2003 ~$5700). In May 2003 the car was reregistered and fully assembled.
Over the following years there were a large number of modifications performed — all records from this period until now are in a binder.
Motorsport Dash Cover
Dynamat Sound Deadening
4 Piston Calipers
Stainless braided brake and clutch hoses
New injectors and harness plugs
New ball joints and tie rod ends
Viper Alarm (not hooked up currently)
CenterLine 16×7 Billet Corsair rims
Since I purchased the vehicle in September of 2008 I replaced the window weatherstripping, replaced alternator belt, and ignition switch. $3000 worth of work was done in 2011 (too many things to list but its all in a binder — basically much of the work was to try and make engine closer to factory).
New clutch master cylinder and slave cylinder and new alternator placed in the past year.
The odometer currently reads 43,828. The rebuilt engine and transmission have approximately 15,000 miles on them.
I am selling it because I have 2 kids so I wanted a 2+2 and it has no A/C.
I have many more pictures if you are interested.
